About the event

For many women in academia, the boundaries between work and life are not just blurred — they often feel non-existent. The demands of research, teaching, supervision, service and sometimes caring responsibilities create a relentless pace that can leave little room for pause.

In such an environment, taking time to rest or step back or to engage in non-work activities can feel difficult to justify. However it’s often in those quieter moments, away from the demands of work, that we gain clarity, creativity and renewed focus.

In this webinar, Professor Sabine Sonnentag (University of Mannheim, Germany) will share key insights from the decades of world-class research she has conducted on recovery from work. Learn why relying solely on vacations for recovery is not a sustainable strategy! She will share evidence about those recovery strategies that best protect our health and wellbeing over the long term.

She will be joined in conversation…
